Room/bath in Private home for Christian Female
Hi I am 60, female, and a conservative Christian, looking for a female house mate- Most likely a grad student or faculty member.
The house is beautiful! And new as of 2022. It is 1800 square feet and has a wing with 2 guest bedrooms and a bath. I am... renting one of the rooms and the bath together. See pictures* It is literally 5 miles from my front door to the front door of the Presidents mansion at Clemson. And it is 2 miles from here to Tri County.
. The BEDROOM is fully furnished, including brand new bedding (unless you prefer to provide your own) There is a kingsize, high quality mattress with a pillow top and a beautiful brand new tester bed.The room is 12.5 by 13 with 9 foot ceilings. The light fixture you see can simply be a light, but it also has a remote control and can open out into a fan in warmer weather. There are both a pull down blind, as well as room darkening curtains, so you can sleep as late as you like or nap at anytime. There is a closet and will be a HUGE dresser in the room for personal belongings. I also have a small refrigerator you are welcome to use for cold drinks in your room.
The BATH has a tub shower combo with an upgraded rain head ( Can be stationary or hand held) There is a large linen closet in the bath that is yours as well as the cabinet under the sink.
The SECOND BEDROOM is a legitimate "Guest" bedroom rarely used. My best friend comes in a couple times a year and she stays there.
The LIVING ROOM has a 12 foot vaulted ceiling, a floor to ceiling fireplace with gas logs, original artwork, and a 72 inch TV with Spectrum cable.
THE DINING ROOM has a table that seats 6 and a coffee and tea station that has both a induction tea kettle ( heats up very rapidly) and a nespresso coffee maker. You're welcome to use them, unless you have a Keurig you prefer. In that case, There is room to place another coffee maker in the station. There is also a original painting in the dining room.
There is a LAUNDRY ROOM with a washer and dryer you will have access to.
The KITCHEN has a dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator, wall oven and wall microwave and a gas cooktop with hood. I have every pot or pan or dish you could want. There is also a large Pantry where you will have space for your non perishables. There is a NUGGET ICE maker in the pantry. ( That crunchy good ice, like Chick-fil-et has) And pretty much any small appliance you could want: Crock pot, blender, toaster oven, waffle maker etc. **There is also a big freezer in the garage where you can have space to store any frozen items you may have.
There is also a HUGE COVERED BACK PORCH with both a dining table and chairs as well as lounge chairs, There is a gas grill and a firepit table and 2 ceiling fans- so even on the hottest days the porch is shaded and the fans keep a nice breeze going.
PETS: I have three 5ish pound yorkies. SO I hope you love animals but don't have any of your own. (Three is about all this house can take.) I do have a 12-inch high plexiglass barrier you can easily step over- that keeps the dogs out of the guest wing and in the main living areas. Once they know you, they would love to snuggle and play with you ( If you let them)
MY Bedroom and bath is on the other side of the house.
Because this is my home, this is a unique rental situation. I'm a young 60- I sing for a living and am frequently gone to Charlotte, Atlanta, etc performing. As I mentioned, I am conservative and a christian. If either of those, or me watching a conservative news station or christian podcast on youtube would bother you, this is not a good fit. I don't mind a glass of wine or cocktail ( and can mix a terrific one!) but I am in the middle of divorcing my husband because he has a problem with alcohol. SO I'm not looking for a heavy drinker. I'm also not into drugs or those who do them. I'm quiet, clean, and try to be considerate- especially if you are sleeping. The neighbors are all quiet, friendly, kind, polite, and considerate. They are also "there" if something happens- and you need them. It's an executive neighborhood of empty nesters and families with kids. So it's a quiet peaceful place to live. It is a long way from the often hectic noisy campus-style of life. So if you are ready to get away from that... you'll love it!
RENT includes all utilities: Water, Trash/Recycle pickup, Sewar, Electricity, Gas, High Speed internet and Spectrum Cable. I also hire a lawn service for what I can't do.
PARKING: there is plenty of room in the Driveway so you will never have to hunt for a parking space.
